About this site
Money Made Simple is a free library of plain-English guides to money in the UK. No jargon, no hype, no assumption that you already know what a tax code or a Lifetime ISA is.
Who it's for
It's written for UK adults, roughly 18 to 45, who were never taught personal finance at school and have picked things up in fragments ever since. If you've ever nodded along to a conversation about pensions while quietly having no idea, you're exactly who this is for.
How it works
The site is organised into ten topics, ordered roughly the way most people need them: money basics, goals and planning, budgeting, debt, saving, ISAs, pensions, investing, property and mortgages, then insurance and protection. You can read straight through or dip into whatever you're facing this month.
Who writes it
Every guide is written and reviewed by the Money Made Simple Team. We are an independent publication with no parent brand and no product to sell you — the articles are free, and each one is kept up to date as UK rules, allowances and thresholds change.
How the site is funded
Money Made Simple is free to read and funded by display advertising and affiliate links. Adverts are clearly labelled, and where we link to a product or service that may pay us a commission we say so directly next to the link. That never changes what we recommend or how we explain something. Read the full Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure.
An important limit
Everything here is general information, not financial advice. Money Made Simple is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and nothing on the site takes your personal circumstances into account. For advice specific to you, speak to a qualified, FCA-regulated adviser.
